This specific variety of sunstone has become a world renowned beauty. Arguably one of the best U.S. Mined gemstones, for its notable "schiller"  which is what we call that stunning blush glitter the gem displays. 

What makes Oregon Sunstone stand out, is that all other sunstone found throughout the world contains hematite or iron inclusions to give it more of a confetti blast within the stone, whereas sunstone from Oregon contains copper instead of iron, which gives the stone its unique and notable soft pink glow. Oregon sunstone can range from soft and almost colorless yellows, to sunset orange, and also to a deep brick red. The darker reds and amount of schiller are what drives up the cost of this marvelous gem, and you will never regret it.
