Gem Dino Bones are often Sauropods found in the Colorado Basin and Wyoming, and are considered rare since theoretically, the dinosaur would have to have been buried shortly after death for this type of this unique fossilization to occur. After the mass extinction of dinosaurs 66 million years ago, perfect conditions aligned for mineralization, as the elements of time, pressure and silica-rich groundwater have overtaken the organic matter of the bones, thus the process of per-mineralization takes over the bones to create a gorgeous fossil.
