Maneki Neko, aka the lucky cat can be found in many households and businesses with the right arm up, to help us to call in money and prosperity.
This kitty originated around the 1600's in Japan, possibly from a Buddhist temple in what is now Tokyo. Around the late 1800's is when she became more popular amongst neighboring Asian cultures, especially in China. And, as the 21st century rolled around, Maneki Neko is loved world wide.
