Spiny Oyster Studs

Spiny Oyster is often seen paired with turquoise because Native Americans have treasured the shell for the bright colors that compliment turquoise so well. This shell can be found along the coasts of North America, and tropical or subtropical seas. Divers go down and look for them in the ocean, although since this is a rather rare mollusk due to over-harvesting for food in the past, regulations have been put in place in certain areas to preserve the species. 

As a stone, it symbolizes resilience, strength, and creativity. Since it is a shell, they are rather soft and should be worn with care.
